No. 43 WinField Teams Hopes to Keep Climbing the Point Standings at Michigan

Dakoda Armstrong Looks for Consecutive Top-15 Finishes

Dakoda Armstrong is ready to return to the track after a refreshing weekend off. The team heads to Michigan International Speedway (MIS) hoping to continue building momentum after two consecutive weeks of improvement in the point standings. . Currently, Armstrong sits 13th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings.

In three starts at MIS, the Richard Petty Motorsports XFIINITY Series team has never finished outside of the Top-20. The track shares similar characteristics to Auto Club Speedway, one of Armstrong’s favorite tracks Armstrong has a total of five starts at the two-mile track in different racing series. His best finish of third came in 2012 in the Camping World Truck Series. He finished 19th in his XFIINTY Series track debut in 2014 and looks to improve on that this weekend.

“I’m looking forward to being back to the racetrack this weekend. Michigan is fun place to race. It’s a fast, wide track with a lot of grip. It’s one of the few tracks where we can carry the throttle deep into the corner. The groove has opened up since the repave, so I think we’ll see more passing than we did in this race last year. I really enjoy racing here. This team has run well over the past couple weeks, and we want to improve on last year’s results. It would be awesome to leave with our best finish of the year and move up another couple spots in the points.”
