ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Michigan International Speedway

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher will make his third NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.  In his previous two starts, Buescher has two top-10 finishes.  The sophomore in the NASCAR XFINITY Series has not started or finished lower than 10th at the two-mile track.

In his two starts at Michigan International Speedway, Buescher has completed 100 percent of the laps inside the top 15.

So far this season in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Buescher maintains an average running position inside the top 10, and holds the best average finishing position (7.5).  Buescher ranks second to Roush Fenway teammate Bubba Wallace in the number of quality passes with 576.

In two ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards starts at Michigan International Speedway, Buescher started no lower than ninth and finished no lower than fifth.  In 2012, Buescher led 14 laps and captured the victory en route to his ARCA Racing Series Championship.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Roush Performance colors this weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

Roush Performance Parts is a premier supplier and engineering services provider, most known for its line of high performance Mustang powertrain parts, including superchargers, cold air intakes and exhaust kits.  The list goes on to include a full line of wheels, tires, interior, grilles, graphics, service parts, accessories, drivetrain, cooling upgrades and more.  In addition to Mustang, Roush Performance Parts also offers performance upgrade packages for Ford F-150, Superduty and Focus.

Recapping Dover International Speedway

Buescher turned a gutsy fuel call by crew chief Scott Graves into his second win of the season at Dover International Speedway.  Buescher made the fuel last in his No. 60 Roush Performance Ford Mustang, leading the final 10 laps of the race and crossing the finish line first, extending his lead in the series point standings.

Buescher and Roush Fenway teammate Ryan Reed are the only series regulars to win so far this season.  The win is the third of Buescher’s NASCAR XFINITY Series career and Roush Fenway’s 17th overall win at the Monster Mile.  The victory also makes Buescher eligible for the $100,000 ‘Dash 4 Cash’ prize when the series visits Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Michigan International Speedway

“It’s been a good week off, but I’m ready to head to Jack and Ford’s home track up in Michigan.  It is one of the fastest tracks we go to, and has been a pretty good track for me in the past.”
