SELF TACKLES MID-OHIO

LEXINGTON, Ohio – Next on the list for Michael Self’s debut season in the Xfinity Series is the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, host to Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200.

Self, now with two races under his belt, will drive the Auto Remote Warehouse No. 0 Chevrolet in Saturday’s 75-lap event. He ran last week at Watkins Glen but failed to finish the race because of transmission issues.

“After we had such a strong run going at the Glen that was cut short, I’m really hoping we can rebound this weekend,” Self said.

“It’s been an absolute blast working with the JD Motorsports teams, especially on their road-course program. Mid-Ohio is another new road course for me, but I can’t wait to get our Auto Remote Warehouse Chevy on track and see what I can learn and continue growing with the team.

“We’ve had two potential top-15 runs in two races now, so if we can just get a little luck on our side I know we’re capable of finishing as strong as we’ve been starting.”

Practice for the 169-mile race is scheduled at 1:30 and 3 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:15 a.m., with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
