Starting 2019 Strong… Toyota drivers have earned six victories in the first nine Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) races of the season, including a streak of three straight wins. Martin Truex Jr. is the most recent Camry driver to win, which he did at Richmond Raceway’s Toyota Owners 400. Kyle Busch was victorious at ISM Raceway, Auto Club Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway while Denny Hamlin started the season with a Daytona 500 win and was triumphant again at Texas Motor Speedway in March. Should a Camry driver win at Talladega, he would also tie Toyota’s consecutive wins record (four) in the MENCS, marking the fifth time in Toyota MENCS history that drivers have posted four-consecutive wins in a single season.
Coming off the first break of the season for Easter, Roush Fenway Racing takes its Fords to Sweet Home Alabama as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) rolls into the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. RFR has eight wins all-time at Talladega including the most recent by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in 2017.

For the first time in his ARCA Menards Series career, Travis Braden (No. 27 MatrixCare/Consonus Health Care/Liberty Village Ford) leads the series championship standings. Braden, a two-time champion in the ARCA/CRA Super Series for late models, assumed the series lead after a 12th-place finish at Salem Speedway.
Talladega Preview: The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be heading to Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, April 29, for 500 miles of action around the Alabama tri-oval. Hamlin will be looking for his second career victory at Talladega, after capturing the checkered flag in 2014. Hamlin and the #11 FedEx team will look to earn their third win of the season and get back into the top two in the Cup Series standings.
