Camry driver Kyle Busch was victorious in Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Phoenix International Raceway, earning his third consecutive series victory.
KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Finishing Position: 1st - What is it about Phoenix that you’ve been so successful in the XFINITY Series? “I don’t know."
DARRELL WALLACE JR., No. 6 Cheez-It Ford Mustang (Finished 12th) – “It was a good day for us, especially after the two weeks we have had. To come out of here with a clean race car, just a couple scratches is okay, rather than a destroyed race car."
“We kind of got screwed there with those red flags coming out. It was crazy. We had one and the track sits for a little bit and they blow all the stuff from the top lane into the bottom lane and then you go back out there and you are ice skating.
We haven’t been exactly where we want to be speed wise this weekend but we haven’t been in race trim yet so I am optimistic about that. My teammates have been fast so there are things we can learn there and apply them.
