Last year at the Brickyard, Ryan Blaney drove the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion from a starting position toward the back of the field (30th) all the way to 12th by the time the checkered flag flew.
There aren’t many tracks on the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) circuit as historic as Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and driver Ray Black Jr. is honored to be making his first start at the 2.5-mile track during this Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250. "That place is so much fun at times, but just the prestige of it is what makes you walk into that racetrack every time," Allmendinger said. "I don’t care what you’re racing. I’ve been fortunate enough to race the Indy 500, I've raced the Brickyard 400 and did a Sports Car race there. It really doesn’t matter what you’re in. When you walk into that place, a different feeling comes over you."
