After leading a career high 26 laps in the STP 400 earlier this year at Kansas Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. settled for an 11th-place finish after an unlucky caution was displayed one lap after he forfeited the lead for a scheduled green flag pit-stop.
Chris Buescher will make his ninth overall NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start this weekend and his first NNS start at Kansas Speedway behind the wheel of the No. 16 RFR Driven Ford Mustang.

Larson to make his Cup Series Debut: Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (EGR) developmental driver, Kyle Larson, will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) debut for Team Target in the Phoenix Racing No. 51 Target Chevrolet SS at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 12. In addition, he will run the NSCS race in Martinsville in the No. 51 Target Chevrolet SS on Oct. 27. In August, EGR announced that Larson would take over the reins of the No. 42 Target Chevy SS beginning in 2014.
No Rest for the Wicked...Buescher will utilize his off week from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to race in the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. This will be Buescher's third start this year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and fourth career NNS start at Kansas Speedway. Buescher has previous success at the Kansas Speedway, capturing a win in the NCWTS in 2012.
Roger Penske has won just about everything imaginable in his racing career, but the one trophy that has eluded him to this point is the NASCAR Nationwide Series owner’s championship. With five races remaining the 22 team, led by crew chief Jeremy Bullins, holds a 34-point lead over the 54 car owned by Joe Gibbs Racing. Dover Recap…After starting from the 31st spot, Eric McClure faced a myriad of issues during Saturday’s event to post a 26th-place finish. As a result, the team slipped one position in NASCAR Owner Standings, while McClure was able to maintain his position (19th) in Driver Standings.
