DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing What do you think of the championship being referenced as a 'two-man' race? "I'm okay with it. I'd rather the spotlight be on them, because ultimately the more media that you have, the more pressure you build on yourself. I think legitimately, we haven't executed well. We don't deserve to be in the conversation right now, and until we get within 10 points, they can leave us out of everything."

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 55 MyClassicGarage.com Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing Are you excited for this race and the announcement about next year? "Always fun to be back in Martinsville for a lot of reasons. This will be my last race this year with MWR (Michael Waltrip Racing). "
MATT KENSETH – No. 17 Ford EcoBoost Ford Fusion – “That’s a great lap for us. I feel like I missed it there a little bit and the car had a little more in it, but I think that will get us a top 10 start and that will be a lot better than usual. It’s always been challenging, but I feel like us with the 17 have been pretty competitive over the last four or five races with maybe top-five or top-10 cars and that’s really good for us here."
JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE’S CHEVROLET – POLE WINNER - IS THIS THE PLACE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO SCORE THOSE POINTS? “You know, on paper it kind of looks that way. But you just never know. When the playoffs hit, it doesn’t matter what sport it is, crazy things happen. And with that being said, yeah, we come here thinking that we should be able to get some points on the 2 (Brad Keselowski), but you never know."
