Should have, could have, would have. It’s a saying that many have heard in racing and it’s one that NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competitor Steve Mathews is right now playing through his mind multiple times following this past weekend’s Wahta Springs 300 at Barrie Speedway.
Following a dramatic conclusion to the 300 lapper at Barrie Speedway, it’d be Pete Shepherd making his way to victory lane after slipping past both J.R. The 10th race of the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series schedule (NCATS) takes the stars of the NCATS to the 0.333 mile paved oval known as Barrie Speedway. The tight quarters of the short track that many of these drivers grew up racing at have always provoked close and exciting racing.
Felix Rosenqvist capped his magical May by edging David Malukas in a last-lap drag race to the Yard of Bricks with the highest stakes, winning the 110th Indianapolis 500
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the J.F. Electric team had a roller coaster of a day in Charlotte, but made the most out of it and nabbed another top-10 finish.
Kaden Honeycutt battled for the lead late before finishing second in a shortened NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
Trevor Huddleston led the final 126 laps to score his second consecutive victory in Saturday’s The Legendary Billy Green 150 Presented by NAPA Auto Parts at Colorado National Speedway.
