Michael Waltrip Racing driver Brian Vickers will not be available to race during the early part of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season due to health issues.

The four drivers participating this week in Goodyear’s tire test atCharlotte Motor Speedway couldn’t be much more different. They drive for different teams and different manufacturers. They have different driving styles and different personalities on and off the track. GoFAS Racing is pleased to announce that former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Champion Bobby Labonte will pilot the No. 32 C&J Energy Services Ford Fusion in 2015. The Corpus Christi, TX native will run the four Superspeedway events with support from Texas based C&J Energy Services.

For the fifth straight year, the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will provide the flyover for the 57th annual DAYTONA 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season opener on Sunday, Feb. 22.

NASCAR driver Ryan Newman gave Dalhart resident Stephanie Gaines the surprise of a lifetime Saturday afternoon when he arrived at her home driving a brand new Chevy SS that she won through the Quicken Loans "Drive Home a Winner" Sweepstakes. Stephanie also received a year's worth of mortgage payments as part of the sweepstakes courtesy of Quicken Loans, the nation's second largest retail mortgage lender and largest online mortgage company.

Richard "The King" Petty has an impressive new jewel in his crown. Sunday, Petty, NASCAR's most decorated driver with 200 wins and seven championships, received Autosport Magazine's Gregor Grant Award, a lifetime achievement presentation named after the publication's founding editor. The honor was bestowed on the 77-year-old racing legend in London during the annual Autosport Awards.

There were several drivers who had disappointing seasons in the 2014 season. Included in those drivers is Mayetta, New Jersey native Martin Truex Jr.
