Last weekend at Kansas Speedway, Harvick earned the pole award with a track-record speed and lap time – a feat he also accomplished at the 1.5-mile track in May. He finished 12th on Sunday after the team had to make an unscheduled green-flag pit stop.

Bayne will take the wheel of the No. 6 Ford Fusion full time in 2015.

In 142 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing teams have earned seven points-paying victories (four wins with Dale Earnhardt, one with Jeff Burton and two with Kevin Harvick) and four All-Star race victories (three with Earnhardt and one with Harvick), giving RCR 11 total Sprint Cup Series checkered flags at the Concord, N.C.-based track.

Biffle has 23 starts in the Cup series at Charlotte, but a win has eluded him. He has finished in the top-five five times and has eight top-10 finishes.

In 1996, when most 16-year-olds were serving up burgers at a local fast food joint, Letarte was already working full time for Hendrick Motorsports. A year later he was a tire specialist, then a mechanic and by 2002, at the ripe old age of 22, he was a car chief.
