No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine driver Brian Vickers' return to fulltime NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing has gone well, but the best may be yet to come.

Nicknamed the Monster Mile, Dover International Speedway is home to one of only two concrete tracks in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It’s also home to one of the largest fiberglass structures in the United States. “Miles the Monster” graces the track’s Victory Plaza and comes complete with an actual race car in its hand. The race winner also gets a version of this “monster” in victory lane.

Brad Keselowski needed to lead only 14 laps to tame the “Monster Mile” during the fall race in 2012, as he earned his lone NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) victory at the famed concrete oval. The victory would prove to be a pivotal point in his winning the NSCS championship that season

There are four good reasons why Martin Truex Jr. is looking forward to returning to Dover (Del.) International Speedway for this weekend’s FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks Sprint Cup Series race.

“Dover International Speedway is one of my all-time favorite tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit,” Allmendinger said. “It always has been since I came into the sport. It is just an awesome fun place to drive.

Jay Robinson Racing, affiliate to Michael Waltrip Racing, announced that Brett Moffitt will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Dover International Raceway this weekend.

Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS team will compete in the FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Dover (Delaware) International Speedway this weekend.

“I always look forward to racing at Dover. Dover is a tough track hence the nickname ‘Monster Mile’. The turns are unique because of the way you drive up out of them. It is important to qualify well and stay up front because track position is so important.

Richard Childress Racing at Dover International Speedway ... RCR has earned four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins at Dover International Speedway, most recently in September 2006 when Jeff Burton drove the No. 31 Chevrolet to Victory Lane.

"Dover is a very fun track to drive, but 400 miles there is as tough as 600 at Charlotte. It's a tough track and it's usually pretty warm there in Dover, too. But it's a thrill to drive. If you're a race fan and you just want to pick a race to go watch in person, Dover's a fun place and a good choice.
