NASCAR Cup Series

If you win Daytona, with the new rules, you are automatically in The Chase and that sets the tone for the year. If we would be lucky enough to win the Daytona 500, it would be a dream come true.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars have hit the track for the first set of practices of the 2014 race season as teams prepare for the Sprint Unlimited. With practice complete, familiar faces rise to the top.

Tony Stewart, No. 14 Mobil 1/Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet SS, met with members of the media at Daytona International Speedway following the first practice session for Saturday’s Sprint Unlimited. The three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion discussed how he felt in the car as he climbed behind the wheel for the first time following his accident last season, what he is expecting during tomorrow’s Sprint Unlimited and many other topics.

MARTIN TRUEX JR, NO. 78 FURNITURE ROW CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Daytona International Superspeedway and discussed his outlook for Speedweeks, working with a new team and many other topics.

Last weekend, Richard Petty was the special guest as part of the Canadian Motorsports Expo. Petty was brought on stage to take part in a half hour Q&A with fans, before signing autographs.

With his rookie season behind him, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. heads into 2014 Daytona Speedweeks with extra confidence, as crew chief Mike Kelley is back at the helm of his up-and- coming race team. Kelley led Stenhouse to two back-to-back Nationwide Series championships in 2011 and 2012 and to NNS rookie of the year honors in 2010.

Ryan Newman, No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS, met with members of the media at Daytona International Speedway and discussed his journey to get to the track from snow covered North Carolina, thoughts on what kind of race the Sprint Unlimited will be, how he is meshing with his new team and other topics.

Sometimes there isn't much drivers agree upon, but one thing that is pretty unanimous within the garage is that winning a Daytona 500 is a life and career-changing event. But for those that haven't won the Great American Race, we wanted to know what race to this point in their career had been a life-changer.

Singer, songwriter Aloe Blacc will perform the National Anthem prior to the 56th annual DAYTONA 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1:00 p.m. ET (FOX).

While across the world, Feb. 14th annually marks the celebration of St. Valentines Day, the date holds a different significance for Jack Roush and the Roush Fenway Racing team. It marks the anniversary of Roush’s first foray into the world of NASCAR; his first race at the highest level of automobile racing and a day that would serve as the launch pad for one of the most successful organizations in professional sports history.
