NASCAR Cup Series

Thursday, February 13th, was the annual NASCAR Media Day. A reported 300 plus reporters, from all forms of the media, converged on Daytona Beach-Florida to meet with a reported 50 plus drivers who patiently and politely answered the same questions all day long.

MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 66 Blue-Def/AAA Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing - What do you think about the new no ride height rule change? “That’s a great question because it’s a huge rule change and so far from listening to the teams that have tested, they can’t figure out which way to go about it."

CASEY MEARS, NO. 13 GEICO CHEVROLET SS met with media and discussed the racing community of Bakersfield, the change to the Chase format, his thoughts on social media, and more.

KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at 2014 NASCAR Media Day and discussed: entering his rookie season in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series; racing for Chip Ganassi; his relationship with his crew chief; racing outside of NASCAR and other topics.

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M Ford Fusion – HAVE YOU EVER DONE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR A FAN? “I have. I’ve seen fans and given them hats. I’ve done a lot of things like that. Pick up the tab – lots of different things – and the setting is unique within that format. You’re sitting there, you meet them, you’re talking to them and there aren’t a lot of people around so it’s a relaxed environment. It always changes how it happens, but unique fan interaction like that is kind of fun.”

NASCAR announced minor adjustments to its new qualifying procedure Thursday morning at Daytona International Speedway. The changes resulted after feedback received from teams in all three national series.

Target Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (TCGRFS) unveiled a video today for three newly-designed firesuits that Kyle Larson and the No. 42 Target team will wear throughout the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season. In addition, the team unveiled two new paint schemes for the No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS.
