NASCAR Cup Series

I know I am probably going to get a lot of negative comments on this, but come on race fans, why wouldn't you want to see the No. 3 back on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit? Sure a LEGEND drove that number, but that was 12 years ago. Dale Earnhardt Junior is fine with it and I bet Dale Earnhardt would be fine with it himself.

In July two cars tangled sending the No. 17 Best Buy Ford into the outside wall, Stenhouse battled back to salvage a 34th-place finish in the Camping World RV 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In 18 NSCS starts at NHMS, Edwards has achieved two top-five and four top-10 finishes. Edwards’ best finish at Loudon is second place, captured in July of 2006.

Though Chase driver Kurt Busch is enjoying a successful season with the single-car Furniture Row Racing team, the former NASCAR champion says there’s still a void with nine races remaining in the 2013 Sprint Cup Series schedule.

Homestead-Miami Speedway today announced several unique ticket packages for Ford Championship Weekend, which will return to South Florida for the 12th consecutive year November 15-17, 2013. Track President Matthew Becherer made the announcement.

Kenseth passed Kyle Busch on a restart with 27 laps to go and held on to win the rain-delayed Geico 400 at Chicagoland. Kenseth leads Busch by eight points in the Sprint Cup point standings.

After announcing roughly a month back that Kurt Busch wouldn't return to Furniture Row Racing, they are now in need of a driver. With top prospects like Ryan Newman and Juan Montoya already deciding their future, it leaves Furniture Row without any "great" driver to choose from.

McMurray at New Hampshire: Jamie McMurray has 21 previous starts at the NHMS in NSCS competition. McMurray’s best start of third came in 2003 and his best finish of third came in 2010. He has four top-10 and two top-five finishes with an average start of 21.6 and average finish of 22.8. McMurray has completed 5877 of 6270 (93.7%) laps of competition and has led 32 laps in the Granite State. On his first visit to NHMS this season, McMurray qualified 11th and finished 12th.

We are joined by Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Chevrolet for Furniture Row Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Busch is 6th in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings with nine top 5 and 14 top 10 finishes. He has three wins and 11 top 10 finishes at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the site of Sunday's Sylvania 300.

With a little help from NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Martinsville Speedway announced Tuesday that the North Carolina State University Marching Band will perform the National Anthem prior to the Goody’s™ Headache Relief Shot™ 500 Powered by Kroger on October 27.
