NASCAR Cup Series

Edwards will make his 19th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Richmond International Raceway this weekend. This season he has one win, seven top-five, 12 top-10 finishes and one pole. He is fourth in the series points’ standings.

Richard Childress has nine NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories as a car owner at Richmond International Raceway - five with Dale Earnhardt, three with Kevin Harvick and one with Clint Bowyer. Most recently, Harvick took the No. 29 Richard Childress Racing entry to Victory Lane in April at the 0.75-mile race track. Additionally, in 138 starts at the Richmond, Va.-based track, RCR drivers have claimed 35 top-five and 64 top-10 finishes. Childress, a former driver on NASCAR's senior circuit, contributed three of those top-10 finishes from 1976-1978. The Welcome, N.C.-based organization holds a 17.3 average starting position, a 14.7 average finishing position, has completed 52,106 of the 55,122 contested laps (94.5 percent) and collectively led 3,249 laps.

Stenhouse made his first career Sprint Cup start at RIR in the spring, finishing 16th after battling an ill-handling race car.

Heading into Richmond (Va.) International Raceway, Aric Almirola is looking to turn his momentum around and post a top-10 finish in the No. 43 Gwaltney Ford. The team's finishes the last few weeks are not what they expect, and they are working diligently to get back to posting top-10 results

On a streak of three top-15 finishes, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 DEWALT Ford team expect to continue to run up front this weekend at the Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. Ambrose and the No. 9 team have turned a corner in the past three races with finishes of sixth, eighth and 13th. The team just missed finishing in the top-10 at Atlanta after running third late in the race.

Heading into race No. 26 at Richmond International Raceway, Gordon is 11th in the point standings, six markers behind 10th. Following Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 400, the top 10 in the standings plus two wildcard spots - based on most wins for drivers ranked 11th through 20th - will comprise the 2013 "Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup" field. There are numerous scenarios where Gordon earns a berth, but a victory guarantees at least a wildcard spot.

Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet SS team travel to Richmond (Va.) International Raceway (RIR) this weekend for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race.

David Reutimann and the No. 83 Burger King / Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry team finished in the 32nd position at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 1. Seven in, five to be decided. After Atlanta, we know the Chase will feature Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth, all in by points. We know that even if Kasey Kahne finishes outside the top-10, he is in as his two win total can be matched but can not be beat among wild card entrants.
