JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE’S/DOVER WHITE CHEVROLET SS, met with members of the media at Kentucky Speedway and discussed his mindset with 10 races left before the start of the Chase, what changed his feelings about racing at Kentucky, his thoughts on why it can be so difficult transitioning from IndyCar to NASCAR and much more.

DALE EARNHARDT, JR., NO. 88 NATIONAL GUARD YOUTH FOUNDATION CHEVROLET SS, met with the media following a press conference announcing his involvement with the National Guard Youth Foundation, specifically to draw attention to the nation’s alarming high school dropout rate by promoting the National Guard Youth Challenge program. During his time with the media he discussed his season thus far, racing at Kentucky Speedway and other topics.

Brad Keselowski, the defending race winner at Kentucky Speedway and driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion, met with media members at Kentucky Speedway prior to Thursday night’s Truck Series race.

It has been since forever since Bobby Labonte had made this list. In fact, to include him, we would have to talk about the Hot 30, which would truly be a misnomer if I ever heard one. After blowing up on the opening lap at Sonoma, he even slipped a spot to sit one position and 21 points behind Danica Patrick over the past ten events. After a weekend of turning left and right at the road courses at Sonoma and Road America, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series, joined by their NASCAR Camping World Truck Series counterparts, head back east to the 1.5 mile Kentucky Speedway for the second tripleheader of the season. This time around all three races will be under the lights of this oval that is a relative newcomer to the schedule, having only hosted all three series for the past two years. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made a trip to the twist and turns of Sonoma Raceway for the first of just two road-course races on the 2013 schedule. Jamie McMurray and the Cessna team captured the pole for the Toyota/SaveMart 350 and raced among the leaders for most of the race until a flat tire on lap 74 of 110 eliminated the team from contention. McMurray would finish the race in the 25th position.

Looking for his first oval win, Marcos Ambrose hopes it comes this weekend at the 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Doing so, the win will also come with the colors and logo of Mac Tools on the Richard Petty Motorsports No.9 Ford Fusion. This is the second time that the Mac Tools colors have been with Ambrose this year.
