After finishing 21st in his Furniture Row Racing debut a candid Kurt Busch said, “It was an uneventful race, but an eventful weekend.”

Trevor Bayne and his No. 21 Good Sam/Camping World Ford Fusion hung onto the lead lap for the first third of Saturday’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but the race’s long stretches of green-flag racing worked against them and they came away with a 22nd-place finish.

Camry driver Clint Bowyer earned his third victory of the 2012 season in Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup series champion Jimmie Johnson, led the way for Team Chevy with a third-place finish in the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fuel management was key in the 334-lap race and Johnson put his No. 48 Mylowe's Chevy in fuel-save mode during the final laps, a move that aided Johnson in closing the gap on series point leader Brad Keselowski (Dodge). Johnson sliced his 14-point lead in half, and is now just seven (7) points shy of Keselowski, who finished 11th.

Clint Bowyer saved enough fuel over the final 56 laps to win Saturday nights NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. "Who thought in a million years I'd walk into the situation I've walked into?" Bowyer said in victory lane.

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M Ford Fusion – “It’s amazing that those guys can go that far on a tank of gas. It’s just unbelievable, but we had a really fast car. The 3M Ford Fusion – a top-five finish – we finished fourth here in the spring in the 600, but I just want to win one of these races. We had the fastest car at the end, but couldn’t make it on fuel.”

Toyota Racing today announced that Samantha Busch is the winner of the 'Racing for Awareness' T-shirt design contest. Busch's winning design -- which earned the most votes from fans -- was unveiled at the Toyota PitPass display, and she will see her design come to life this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

TONY GIBSON, CREW CHIEF: “Something happened there. We started off in Happy Hour to make a long run and we got about six laps into it and it started tightening up on him (Ryan Newman) pretty good, so he shut it off and came in (to garage) and there is definitely something big wrong."
