NASCAR Cup Series

The AdvoCare 500 at the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway quad-oval on Sunday, September 2nd is the 25th of 36 races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule and it’s the site where Bobby Labonte scorched the competition for six of his 21 career victories.

Several NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams took to the newly reconfigured Kansas Speedway today and the reviews are in – and they have been pretty positive as teams navigate the variable banking for the first time.

TMone and Inc. Magazine will team up with Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) for the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway. David Reutimann will pilot the No. 10 Inc. 5000 / @TMone 6-peat Chevrolet on Saturday, September 8. The two companies will celebrate TMone’s sixth consecutive listing on the 2012 Inc. 5000 America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

Atlanta is a big weekend for Martin Truex Jr. On Friday, he’ll join Michael Waltrip Racing executives and NASCAR President Mike Helton in the media center for a 1 p.m. news conference to discuss the 2013 season and beyond.

This weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Chevrolet Racing will begin the brand’s fight against breast cancer as Chevrolet gears up to support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.

Dodge has nine NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins at Atlanta Motor Speedway – including three of the last five races. Dodge scored three consecutive Sprint Cup Series wins from 2009-10. Kurt Busch and Kasey Kahne swept the Cup Series races for Dodge in 2009 with Busch winning again at the spring event in 2010.

RCR in The ATL ... In 123 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has earned three pole awards and nine wins, including Kevin Harvick's emotional victory in the Cracker Barrel 500 on March 11, 2001.
