NASCAR Cup Series

This week we travel back to the place that was the start of my NASCAR days. It's a track near and dear to my heart, and will no matter where life takes me, it will always have a special place in my heart as my 'Hometown Track'. Watkins Glen International may not be the most famous stock car track in the world, but it produces some of the best beating and banging NASCAR has to offer.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to New York state to take on the annual challenge that comes with road course racing at the massive Watkins Glen International Raceway. Sunday's Finger Lakes 355 is expected to be a daunting challenge as most road course racing often is. It won't take very long to determine which drivers has road course experience and which drivers needs some.

Marcos Ambrose, driver of the No. 9 Stanley/DeWalt Ford Fusion, is the defending winner of the Finger Lakes 355 at The Glen. He spoke to reporters earlier this afternoon.

TONY STEWART, NO. 14 OFFICE DEPOT/MOBIL 1 CHEVROLET, met with members of the media at Watkins Glen International and discussed racing at Watkins Glen, racing sprint cars, his approach to the Chase this season and other topics.

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, held a Q&A session with members of the media at Watkins Glen International after the first practice session outside his team hauler. Biffle, who is third in the point standings, spoke about a variety of issues.

CLINT BOWYER, No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing Are you looking forward to racing at Watkins Glen after winning at Sonoma earlier this year? "I ran well at Sonoma. It's a different beast here -- quite a bit different, I think. When I go to Sonoma, it seems real technical, kind of tight like a short track of road racing, really. We come here and I struggle a little bit in years past."

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jeff Gordon will visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta on Thursday, Aug. 23 to promote the upcoming AdvoCare 500 weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

I really enjoy the road course racing, especially here at Watkins Glen. This is a place that is pretty special to me coming up here as a kid watching my dad race and then running some Busch North races up here."
