A total of 17 Team Chevy drivers will start the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Chip Ganassi Racing Teams (CGRT) announced today that Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates driver Juan Pablo Montoya claimed the All-Time Greatest Chip Ganassi Racing Driver title after fans participated in four rounds of voting.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s popular No. 88 Chevrolet went “dark” today thanks to fans of The Dark Knight Rises and Mountain Dew® (DEW). Following a week and a half of voting at DEWCrew.com, Earnhardt revealed which “Dark Knight”-inspired paint scheme will be featured on the hood of his No. 88 Chevrolet.

Each race weekend, selected SRT Motorsports Engineers, Penske Racing engineers and crew chiefs, drivers or engine specialists give their insight on the ‘Keys for Success’ for the upcoming race. This week, Howard Comstock, SRT Motorsports Engineering, provides the keys for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.

The Richard Petty Motorsports front row of pole-sitter Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose finished practice early at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Both men spoke to Ford Racing about why they didn’t take advantage of the whole session and what their expectations are for tomorrow night.

The Global Rallycross drivers spent several hours on track Friday night qualifying for today’s heat races. Finland’s Marcus Gronholm took the top seed for tonight’s 1A race, while Tanner Foust, Brian Deegan and Toomas Heikkinen captured the other three top seeds. Travis Pastrana is a second seed in the 1C heat race.

Coming off of his win the Sprint All-Star race, Jimmie Johnson qualified for the Coca-Cola 600 in the third position.

This week's picks will be short and sweet as I had a rather poor showing in last week's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, have not been able to watch much of this week's NASCAR Sprint Cup Practice sessions, and am starting a long weekend in Philadelphia this afternoon and have limited access to stats.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams will roll out onto the Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday for the second time in eight days. Last weekend, the event was the Sprint All Star race that featured five sprint like segments, for a total of 90 laps, with a winner take all format.
