Seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) champion and career-long Chevrolet driver, Jimmie Johnson, is the leader of the pack at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). Johnson, pilot of the No. 48 Ally Camaro ZL1, has seven wins, 15 top-5’s and 21 top-10 finishes, more than any other in the series.

Bowman on the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule: “This is quite the change. I think this will be good. My home track race will be the season finale and I think that is great for ISM Raceway. It will be interesting to see how the race shakes out in Daytona for the regular season ending. There is always the potential for a race upset at a superspeedway, so that will make things exciting.”

Toyota Takes on Texas… Toyota NASCAR drivers are set to compete at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, which is located just 35 miles from its Texas headquarters in Plano. Toyota currently leads the manufacturer point standings in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS), NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) on the strength of 10 wins across NASCAR’s three national series this season.

Only six races into the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season and Brad Keselowski became the second multi-time winner last weekend, posting the most dominating performance of the year. He led 446 of 500 laps to claim the win at Martinsville Speedway. It’s his fourth top-three finish already as he also won at Atlanta Motor Speedway, has a runner-up finish at Las Vegas and a third-place finish at California.

Accidents happen in the workplace on a daily basis, and sadly a large number of them are fully avoidable. Sometimes workers can move a little too quickly and eagerly, unaware of the danger they put themselves and others in by not thinking first. In other instances, employees may not know exactly how to use certain pieces of safety equipment because they either weren’t tested properly or only watched a couple of mandatory informational videos when they were first hired on.

Some of the changes are interesting. Moving the season-ending event matters not, as Homestead has never become an iconic event in most minds anyway. Adding a third short track is good. Keeping the roval in Charlotte as part of the mix is fine. Adding some tradition with the Southern 500 becoming even more meaningful actually comes across as a fine idea.
