The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Pit Crew ChallengeTM presented by Craftsman®will usher in the seventh year of all-star caliber, pit crew competition.

The green flag is waving for the fourth annual “JDRF Race Car Design Contest,” hosted by the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

JTG Daugherty Racing is carrying the Snyder’s-Lance Inc. (Nasdaq-GS: LNCE) brand Tom’s on the hood of Bobby Labonte’s No. 47 Toyota Camry with a special patriotic scheme along with a couple special decals at Darlington Raceway for the Showtime Southern 500 on Saturday, May 7.

Edwards finished fifth at Richmond, posting his fifth top-5 result of the year. He led 11 laps on the night, and extended his lead in the Sprint Cup point standings from 5 to 9 over Jimmie Johnson.

Johnson has made 12 Sprint Cup Series starts at Darlington Raceway, where he has earned two wins, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes.

Dodge's Kurt Busch is sixth in the Sprint Cup point standings. In 14 career starts at Darlington, Busch has two top-five and five top-10 finishes.

Biffle on Darlington: “Darlington is the hardest place we race. We run inches off the wall at speeds we run at mile and a half tracks. Any second it'll reach out and bite you and that's why they call it the Lady in Black."

Kenseth on racing at Darlington Raceway: “Darlington is a great race track with a lot of history attached to it. They repaved the surface a few years ago and it’s just a place where we race fast with narrow lanes, and track position at the end of the race is really important."
