It felt a lot faster than that actually, I can’t believe it wasn’t faster. I am kind of puzzled. It was a good effort. We had speed all day and we will start second row, not a bad place for what we need to do. Hopefully we can have a good day on Sunday.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion - TELL US ABOUT STARTING UP FRONT HERE ON SUNDAY: “Yeah, obviously it was a great lap. The car was great from when we unloaded. I was laughing when we came in saying we made good adjustments today and it was a joke because we didn’t change anything from when we unloaded. We were pretty good the first lap on the race track."

ERIK JONES, No. 20 Craftsman Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Qualifying Position: 6th - Talk about your qualifying effort today. “It was alright. I think our Craftsman Toyota had pretty good speed, but just not quite enough to get the pole. We’ll keep working on it, but not a bad effort. We’ll start up here in the top six and go from there.”

KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Busch Light Ford Fusion - TELL US ABOUT YOUR LAP: “It was a good lap. It is a good starting position and I am looking forward to the weekend. We got it off to a good start.”

CLINT BOWYER, No. 14 Dekalb Ford Fusion -- HOW IS YOUR CAR RUNNING AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU WHEN YOU FIRST CAME TO THE SERIES TO GET USED TO WORKING WITH ALL THE TELEMETRY AND INFORMATION? “I don't think there is any such thing as too much information in today’s day in age. It is crazy how you can dissect every aspect of such a simple thing, a race car going through the corner and on a 1.5 mile track going really fast. I am fortunate enough to have three good teammates and I can look at their throttle trace, steering trace, brake trace and get a good idea of what I need to do different or what I need to do different with the setup to enable me to do that.

Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 10 Smithfield Ford Fusion, fresh off his win last weekend at Talladega, met with media members ahead of the first practice session this weekend in Kansas with a spot in the third round of the NASCAR playoffs cemented.

Ryan Blaney, driver of the No. 12 Menards/Wrangler Riggs Workwear Ford, enters the final race of Round 2 of MENCS playoffs 22 points outside of the top-eight and a spot in Round 3. Blaney met with media members Friday morning ahead of the first practice session of the weekend.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Go Fas Racing team will be representing the cause with a unique pink racecar this weekend at Kansas Speedway. This weekend's race, the Hollywood Casino 400, will be the 32nd race of the NASCAR regular season, and the final race of the second round of the NASCAR Playoffs. Plan B Sales will be working with Matt DiBenedetto and the Go Fas Racing team this weekend, marking their first race as a sponsor for the team.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will be in action at Kansas Speedway while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is off. The Monster Energy Series heads to the final race of the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Playoffs, while the Xfinity Series enters the first race in the Round of 8.
