TOYOTA QUOTES

ERIK JONES, No. 20 Craftsman Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Qualifying Position: 6th
Talk about your qualifying effort today.
“It was alright. I think our Craftsman Toyota had pretty good speed, but just not quite enough to get the pole. We’ll keep working on it, but not a bad effort. We’ll start up here in the top six and go from there.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s Halloween Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Qualifying Position: 7th
How is your car handling and how will you improve in practice tomorrow?
“Feels like I have to push too hard to make lap time to what I need lap time to be. We’re struggling for free speed right now – you have to earn it. Tomorrow and Sunday should be relatively close and you just have to figure out what your car is doing, figure out the balance and try to get as much speed as you can. With the temperatures being cool, it’s just so fast – just really, really, really fast. You’ve got to be all but perfect in order to have a fast car.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Office Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Qualifying Position: 9th
How was your car in qualifying?
“Just a little bit slower than what we had hoped for. Organizationally we’re all kind of right there bunched together and that’s what we had for speed. Just have to make it a little bit better in race trim.”

MARTIN TRUEX JR, No. 78 Bass Pro Shops / 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Furniture Row Racing
Qualifying Position: 12th
What happened in the third round of qualifying?
“First two runs we were too loose. Tried to get it tightened up to go faster and we got it too tight for the third round.”
