The 2018 Camry Has Arrived: Almost five months after its race track debut, the 2018 Toyota Camry race car will be joined by its production counterpart at Kentucky Speedway. The new, radically redesigned 2018 Camry will serve as the pace car at the 1.5-mile track as Toyota becomes the ‘Official Vehicle of Kentucky Speedway.’ The timing could not be more fitting as the all-new 2018 Camry began production just down the road in Georgetown, Kentucky at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) in late June.

Richard Childress Racing in the Bluegrass State ... In 19 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at Kentucky Speedway, Richard Childress Racing holds an average starting position of 16.6 and an average finishing position of 17.4, completing 5,054 of the contested 5,073 laps (99.6 percent).

The driver of Furniture Row Racing’s No. 77 SiriusXM Toyota Camry will compete in his first NASCAR Cup Series race at the 1.5-mile tri-oval in Saturday night’s Quaker State 400. The Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate is coming off a ninth-place finish last Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway.

The Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team rolls into Kentucky this weekend following one of its strongest performances of the season, marred by a late-race accident, last week in Daytona.

1. Kyle Larson: Larson crashed on Lap 193 in the Coke Zero 400 when he slipped in front of Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and the impact briefly sent Larson airborne. Larson finished 20th.

The 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season continues to be a strong one for Ford after Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway. The victory is Ford’s eighth of the season, which is most among manufacturers, and matches its total from 2016. Ford will look for its third win in four years at this weekend’s stop – Kentucky Speedway – where Brad Keselowski is the defending champion.
