After sustaining nose damage in a multi-car accident on lap 160, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. lined up in the 14thposition for the final green-white-checkered finish and was on the outside line working his way forward when an accident occurred near the front of the field coming to the checkered flag. His Ford was collected in the accident but Stenhouse was able to slide across the finish line earning a 16th-place finish.

The final race in the Round of 12 takes place this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway and Ford drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are both looking for wins to automatically advance. Logano currently holds the eighth and final transfer spot while Keselowski is seven points behind his Penske teammate.

Kansas Recap: Denny Hamlin finished 15th in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway, overcoming a variety of issues to keep the FedEx Racing Team’s chances alive to advance in the Chase for Sprint Cup championship.

The Chase continued on Sunday, at the iconic Kansas Speedway for the legendary Hollywood Casino 400. The race formerly and memorably known as the Protection One 400, the Banquet 400 Presented by ConAgra Foods, the LifeLock 400, the Camping World RV 400 presented by Coleman, and the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods has been making memories since 2001.

BK Racing has announced that Jeffrey Earnhardt will be driving the No. 83 Starter Toyota Camry at Talladega Superspeedway on October 23, 2016. Earnhardt will be one of three BK Racing cars on track for the Alabama 500 as he joins teammates David Ragan and Matt DiBenedetto.

Harvick held off Carl Edwards over the final 30 laps at Kansas and went on to win the Hollywood Casino 400. Harvick advanced to Round 3 of the Chase For The Cup.

Joey Logano started sixth and finished third in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion in Sunday afternoon’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Logano ran in the top-five for the majority of the race, though he slipped as low as eighth on the first run of the day.

"We wanted a top-five finish today and we missed it by one position, so overall we have to be pleased by our performance in the Dow Coating Materials Chevrolet. We left Kansas Speedway tied for a cutoff position in the Round of Eight and with a chance of making it into the next round of The Chase.

The Furniture Row Racing driver finished 11th Sunday at Kansas Speedway and will take a 13-point margin into the Chase’s final race of Round 2 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 23). Eight of the 12 drivers after Talladega will continue the pursuit for the Sprint Cup Series season championship.

Despite battling an ill-handling race car for a majority of Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Fastenal Ford to a 19th-place finish at Kansas Speedway.
