Sometimes being the leader when a caution comes out late in the race is not the most envious position to be in. Just ask Martin Truex Jr., who had the dominant car Saturday night at Texas Motor Speedway leading six different times for a race high of 141 laps.

Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion team battled through a tough race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) to salvage an 18th-place finish in the Duck Commander 500 on Saturday night. Rain showers earlier in the day resulted in a nearly two-hour delay before the race began.

Despite running in the top-10 for a majority of Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Texas Motor Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Zest Ford to a 16th-place finish after a late-race accident damaged his machine.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, led for 12 laps and had the right fuel strategy to contend for the victory before a rash of late race cautions relegated the Roush Fenway Racing team to a 15th-place finish in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) event at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s runner-up effort in the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS led a contingent of Team Chevy drivers to the checkered in the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), Round 7 of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. This was Earnhardt, Jr.’s sixth top 5 finish at TMS in 25 starts; and his fourth top 10 of 2016.

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 Safety Kleen Ford Fusion – “I got hit by the 5. I’m not sure what happened. He just got in the back of me and turned me around and got me up in the fence. It’s unfortunate. We had a decent run going and a pretty good night. We were fighting for the lucky dog to get on the lead lap. We were faster than quite a few of those guys on the lead lap at the back of the field, so it’s unfortunate we didn’t get a chance to race with them.”

Camry driver Kyle Busch was victorious at Texas Motor Speedway in Saturday night’s rain-delayed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

DALE EARNHARDT, JR., NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CHEVROLET SS – FINISHED 2ND - ON HIS SECOND-PLACE FINISH: “We got a little behind and got caught on pit road on that one caution. We had a fast car, probably good enough to win. Martin (Truex Jr.) probably had the best car, but the best car doesn’t always win.

Despite having the strongest car in the race, Martin Truex Jr. was not able to take his car to victory lane in the Lone Star State. The driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota seemed poised to score his fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory in the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, but two late race cautions and almost everyone behind him opting to pit led to him losing the lead with 32 laps to go and finishing sixth.

Kyle Busch continued his run of excellence in NASCAR with his win in the Lone Star State. The driver of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota took the lead with 32 laps to go and drove on to score the victory in the Duck Commander 500.
