Dover, where the Chase hopes of four would be over by the time the haulers moved on down the road. Two came in safe, some were comfortable while others were scrambling to survive. For a pair, it pretty much was win to be in.

On Sunday at Dover International Speedway, Jamie McMurray did everything that he could to try and advance to the next round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. However, it wouldn't be enough as he would fall just one spot short of advancing.

The first elimination race, otherwise known as ‘It’s Over in Dover’, produced some very surprising and not surprising moments in the 46th running of the AAA 400 at the Monster Mile.

Richard Childress Racing drivers Ryan Newman, Austin Dillon and Paul Menard finished 19th, 23rd and 25th, respectively, in the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway.

After starting 27th for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Dover International Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Fastenal Ford to an eighth-place finish earning his second top-10 finish of the 2015 NSCS season.

Hurricane Joaquin made a solid attempt at washing out the Dover race weekend but in the end NASCAR prevailed. Rains washed out on-track activity Friday, starting the field by points, which lined Biffle up 20th. Sunday stayed dry and Biffle was able to drive his No. 16 Ortho Ford Fusion to a 13th-place finish despite having a final set of tires on the car that caused a tight-handling condition.

In dominating fashion, Kevin Harvick won the AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway in his No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS by leading 355 circuits of the 400-lap event. The victory advanced the defending champion to the next stage in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Martin Truex Jr.'s 11th-place finish Sunday at Dover International Speedway was more than enough to advance the Furniture Row Racing driver to Round 2 of the Chase playoffs.

The most consistent driver throughout the first 26 races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular season came to Dover International Speedway with his whole season hanging in the balance.
