Bayne will make his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Pocono Raceway this weekend.

Greg Biffle led 11 laps Sunday afternoon at Pocono Raceway on his way to a fifth-place finish in his No. 16 Ford Fusion. With just over 20 laps remaining, Biffle took over the lead and held the position for over 10 laps as the field spread out conserving fuel. A late race caution took away the lead Biffle had acquired, and in the final laps Biffle lost ground to fresher tires, crossing the finish line fifth.

More than 500 students at LeGore Boys & Girls Club and Keenan-Stahl Boys & Girls Club in Indianapolis participated in a special high-speed oral health education event Thursday that left them with big smiles and new tips for improving their dental health. It was all thanks to NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 3M Chevrolet SS, NASCAR celebrities, 3M ESPE Dental, the ADA Foundation’s Give Kids A Smile® program, CareCredit, Henry Schein Cares and Church & Dwight.

Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 Medallion Bank Ford team are optimistic about their return to the "Tricky Triangle". The team is looking to redeem themselves at the 2.5-mile track after a cut tire took them out of contention for a good finish in the June race.

Last weekend, the No. 43 team took a big hit in the Championship Point Standings after an on-track incident relegated the team to a 39th-place finish. Now 17th in points, Aric Almirola is 30 points outside of the current Chase transfer spot of 15th. With Kyle Busch just 23 points outside of a transfer spot, the team will have to aim to hold the 14th spot in points when the regular season comes to a close in Richmond.

Pocono Raceway: "Pocono Raceway is a place where track position is critical just like any other place," Allmendinger said. "Hopefully, as the last couple of weeks have went on, we have learned some stuff about our race cars. We have got to make them better for sure. Slowly, we are making progress. Hopefully, we can take that back to Pocono."

Richard Childress Racing at Pocono Raceway ... In 142 starts at Pocono Raceway, RCR team owner Richard Childress has two victories, both with Dale Earnhardt, who won on July 19, 1987 and July 18, 1993. Additionally, RCR has earned one pole award, 16 top-five and 54 top-10 finishes with 604 laps led at the uniquely-shaped three-turn track. Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, contributed two of those top-10 finishes under the RCR banner.

Pocono Preview: The Series heads back to Pocono (Pa.) Raceway for the second and final event on the 2.5-mile triangular-shaped track of the season. Hamlin finished 10th at Pocono on June 7. In 19 career Pocono starts, Hamlin owns four victories, nine top-five finishes and 13 top-10 results, leading 667 laps at the track. He has also recorded three poles at Pocono.
