NASCAR Cup Series

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and XFINITY Series travel to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. All Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series practices, qualifying sessions and races will be televised on NBC Sports Live Extra as indicated.

Race fans will get the opportunity to see up close race-car drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick and more, and cars like the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend.

Once again, a Chevrolet will set the pace at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A 2015 Chevrolet SS will lead the field to the green flag in the Crown Royal Presents Jeff Kyle 400 at The Brickyard on Sunday, marking the 22nd consecutive year a Chevy has paced the field for the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at the famed speedway.

I have walked the Little Bighorn Battlefield more than once, seen Devil’s Tower and visited Mount Rushmore. I have watched the Red Sox play in Seattle, and I believe the scenery in Wyoming is second to none. I’ve been there, but I do not live there.

Brickyard 400...Justin Allgaier has one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). While this is Allgaier's second NSCS start at IMS, it will be the first race with the new rules package for the Series. NASCAR's "higher drag" package is currently scheduled to run at IMS and Michigan International Speedway later this season. The most noticeable change is the nine-inch spoiler, which is much taller than past spoilers. He also has two starts in the XFINITY Series at IMS, with a best finish of 12th.

Jeff Gordon, who spent his formative years in Pittsboro, Indiana, will make his final start at his “hometown track” in Sunday’s Crown Royal presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Back Home Again in Indiana...The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this weekend for the 20th event of the 2015 season. Michael Annett will make his second career Cup Series start at the 2.5-mile facility this Sunday.

Roush Fenway Racing heads to the most famous speedway in the world this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returns to the hallowed ground of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A Roush Fenway Ford has recorded 16 top-five finishes at the 2.5-mile oval since the NSCS began racing there in 1994.

New Hampshire Recap: New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) hosted race No. 19 of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season. For the first time in several weeks rain did not have a dominate effect on racing action. Jamie McMurray and the McDonald’s/Cessna team looked to cap-off a strong weekend with a top-10 finish, but a late-race mechanical issue dropped the team from contention and ultimately finished with a 26th-place result.
