NEW NUMBER IN 2021: On Tuesday, Hendrick Motorsports announced that Alex Bowman and crew chief Greg Ives will move to the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for the 2021 season.

The NASCAR Cup Series is going road racing in its own back yard this Sunday, with the third-ever race at the ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

It’s a milestone weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval as Toyota competes in its 500th Cup Series event.

I ran the ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Xfinity last year and we had a decent result. It’s a unique place so I think we’re going to see some great racing again this weekend.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Charlotte for the final event in the Round of 12 this weekend. Charlotte Motor Speedway will host the series on its “Roval” (road course and oval hybrid) course on Sunday, Oct. 11, and Denny will look to ride his momentum from this past week’s victory as he moves into first in overall points.

This is a big weekend for us. We're headed to the Charlotte ROVAL on Sunday for one of my favorite races of the year; a tight and twisty road course.

Aric Almirola enters the Charlotte Roval race this Sunday in a must-win scenario to advance to the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8.

Newman will make his third start at the ROVAL on Sunday, where he has an average finish of 21.5, with a best result of 11th in the track’s debut in 2018. Last season, he finished 32nd.
