Camry driver Christopher Bell (seventh) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, scoring his 15th top-10 finish this season.

Justin Allgaier took the checkered flag Monday in the rain-delayed NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, his fifth win of 2018. Allgaier took the checkered 0.092 seconds ahead of Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney, with Chase Elliott in fourth and Daniel Hemric in fifth. Sixth through 10th was Matt Tifft, Christopher Bell, Austin Dillon, Chase Briscoe, and Brandon Jones.

AUSTIN CINDRIC, No. 12 Wabash National Ford Mustang – “It sucks. It’s frustrating, surprising, irritating, but at the end of the day it’s racing and it’s what you’ve got to go through. It obviously makes Vegas a much more important race now, which all I wanted to do this weekend was to prevent that, and I’m not sure there’s much there we could do to prevent that. I just wish it could turn out better. I think we had a car capable of winning the race. I’ve had a lot of cars capable of winning races, and that’s all I can ask for and whether circumstances aren’t in my control it is what it is, so we’ll move on and get over it.”

News and notes: After a rough weekend in Darlington, Boyd will look to re-gain his momentum at one of the most famous race tracks of all time, Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will be Boyd's first visit to the Brickyard. The Xfinity Series will run the same aero-package as they ran earlier this season at Pocono and Michigan. “It is a dream come true to race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” says Boyd. "Indianapolis is one of the biggest racing stages in the world. Just the history behind the track and to think of all the legends that have raced there is breathtaking. I'm very humbled to be racing there this weekend and hope we can bring home a great finish for everyone."

Chase Briscoe has been going to race tracks ever since he was a little kid, and now he’s taking advantage of being part of the Ford Performance Driver Development program to compete in a variety of different series this season, all to improve his skills as a driver.

Briscoe on Indianapolis Motor Speedway “I am beyond excited to race at Indy, it will be a fun and busy week. Wednesday and Thursday I will run the USAC midget race at the BC39 at the new dirt track in the infield, Friday night I will go run the ARCA car at Indianapolis Raceway Park, and then Saturday run at the Brickyard."

Richard Childress Racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway ... In 67 previous Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has posted two pole awards (Kevin Harvick in 2003 and Jeff Burton in 2006), three wins (Dale Earnhardt in 1995, Harvick in 2003 and Paul Menard in 2011), 12 top-five and 27 top-10 finishes. RCR Chevrolets have also been atop the leaderboard for a total of 268 laps and with the exception of one, each entry has been running at the finish of every event at the Brickyard, dating back to the inaugural race in 1994.
