Austin Cindric’s first-ever competition at Darlington Raceway did not go according to plan, as contact with the No. 11 on the final corner of the first lap sent the No. 60 Ford Hall of Fans Mustang into the interior wall just past the start-finish line. Damage was too severe to continue, and Cindric was scored with a 40th-place finish.

After a hard fought fifth place finish at Road America last week, Elliott Sadler clinched a spot in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. As he heads to Darlington Raceway this week he has a new goal - to win.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will be in action at Darlington Raceway, while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is off this weekend. Check out the full schedule below, which is subject to change.

News and notes: Coming off a very solid performance at Road America, Boyd will head south to have his first date with The Lady in Black at Darlington Raceway. Boyd will sport a special throwback paint scheme honoring three-time ARCA champion Bob Dotter, this weekend. Earlier this week it was announced Bob Dotter has been nominated to the 2019 Illinois Stock Car Hall of fame. “This is going to be such a special weekend,” says Boyd. "I'm so appreciative of everything Bobby Dotter has done for me and my career. It's really cool that we get to honor his father in such a historic race. I think this scheme will definitely be worth a couple tenths or so."

“I’m excited about Darlington. It’s probably one of the most unknown tracks that I’ve gone to this year since I’ve never been there. From everything I have seen, I think it is a track that I’m really going to like. It’s obviously a very tricky race track and demands a lot of respect. I’m excited for the challenge and hopefully I can have a strong run in my final race of the season in the No. 60 Ford.”

Reed started the race 17th and was able to capitalize on fresh tires to race his way up to 11th, but contact on pit road impeded his forward momentum. Despite an extra pit stop for left front fender repair, Reed rebounded to finish 15th.

This weekend’s event at Darlington Raceway will mark Elliott’s sixth NASCAR Xfinity Series race with GMS Racing. Elliott is scheduled to run next weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well.

Ryan Reed’s No. 16 Ford will take on an iconic look this weekend at Darlington Raceway, as the team honors back-to-back wins made by Greg Biffle in 2005 and 2006 with a patriotic throwback to those victories. Roush Fenway Racing is the winningest team in NASCAR history and the timely throwback comes on the heels of team owner Jack Roush being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2019.

“This is one of my favorite race weekends of the year. Darlington Raceway has always been a special track for me and seeing all of the retro paint schemes always brings back good memories. My Armour Chili team has one goal this weekend – of course, aside from winning – and that’s to earn as many points as we can. This is a track where I have previously won and, as a team, we’ve run well in the past. I know this will be a key track to make up some points, and hopefully put us back in the lead with only a few races left before the playoffs.” – Elliott Sadler
