Camry driver Christopher Bell (second) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) event at Bristol Motor Speedway.

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 60 Ford Mustang – “I just got racing with the 4 really hard. I’m all for hard racing, but it’s just frustrating when he lets four guys in a row go. We were faster than him and just kept hitting on him and hitting on him. He flipped me off a couple of times and then I just kept trying to pass him on the inside. I could never clear him and I just got tight underneath him and drove up the race track a little bit and got my right-front up into him and spun out and hit the inside wall. It’s definitely frustrating. I hate it for all the 60 guys. They’ve had to work on a lot of race cars this year. I felt like we had decent speed tonight and maybe could have contended for a top-10, but the day got cut short.”

There is nothing like a night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and the Food City 300 was no exception. It was action-packed, start to finish, with beating and banging for every position. The one thing that stayed the same was Kyle Larson.

CHRISTOPHER BELL, No. 20 Rheem Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - What do you think about racing at Bristol Motor Speedway? “For me, I love Bristol – it's one of my favorite race tracks that we go to throughout the course of the year. I haven’t had any success here, but it’s always a really fun race track and driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, I’ve got really fast race cars. Hopefully, we can turn that around this weekend.”

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will all be at Bristol Motor Speedway for tripleheader action. Check out the full schedule below, which is subject to change.

Briscoe on Bristol “Bristol is always a special place, there is so much history there and it’s such a cool atmosphere. On top of all that, getting to run under the lights there is always cool. Hopefully, we can stay out of the chaos and end the night up front.”

Ryan Reed was poised to earn his career best finish at Bristol Motor Speedway before a tire went flat on his No. 16 Drive Down A1C Lilly Diabetes Ford with only 12 laps remaining. Bristol has been Reed’s nemesis, but he was able to earn his best qualifying effort at the .0533-mile track of 12th and had a top-10 finish in his sights.

Following his strong run at Mid-Ohio, Elliott Sadler returned to second in the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings – just 17 markers outside of first.

Perennial NASCAR Xfinity Series contender Elliott Sadler said he is ending his run as a full-time driver after the 2018 season. The veteran of more than 800 races in NASCAR’s national series and driver for JR Motorsports posted a statement on his website, ElliottSadler.com, on Wednesday announcing his decision.

News and notes: The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take a break from the road course racing action as it makes its way to Thunder Valley for some short track racing. This will be Boyd's second trip to The World's Fastest Half-Mile. In his previous trip, Boyd scored a 25th place finish. "I'm stoked to be coming back to Bristol this weekend," says Boyd. "I've always wanted to race here under the lights, so that's going to be very special. The atmosphere at Bristol is unlike any other. It's so loud and the fans are a lot of fun. Hopefully we can come out of here with a great finish."
