Richard Childress Racing at Daytona International Speedway ... Dating back to 1976, Richard Childress Racing has won 11 poles and collected six points-paying victories at the most-storied race track on the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series circuit. RCR owns three Daytona 500 wins (Dale Earnhardt - 1998, Kevin Harvick - 2007, Austin Dillon - 2018), three Coke Zero 400 trophies (Earnhardt - 1990, 1993 and Harvick - 2010) and 14 qualifying races, including 10-consecutive victories with Earnhardt (1990 - 1999). In addition, RCR has earned the Advance Auto Parts Clash a total of eight times, with drivers Harvick (2009, 2010, 2013) and Earnhardt (1986, '88, '91, '93, and '95).

Cindric at Daytona “I’m excited to be back in the No. 60 this weekend. Daytona hasn’t been my friend in a stock car, but I have had some good runs there in other series. I’m hoping to change that this weekend and complete all the laps and be in contention at the end. Roush Fenway always has good Superpseedway cars so I’m excited to get to the track and see what we can do this weekend in our Odyssey Batteries Ford Mustang.”

Ryan Reed has nine starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), having earned two wins, four top-five and five top-10 finishes.

News and notes:  Spencer Boyd and his Grunt Style Chevrolet Camaro Team will head back to the beach for the series annual Fourth of July race. Boyd may be bringing back the same car as he ran in the season opener, but with a totally different look.

Elliott will utilize chassis no. 211 this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. The No. 23 team has raced this chassis two previous times in 2018 (Daytona and Talladega), collecting a sixth-place finish at Daytona, as well as a win with Spencer Gallagher at Talladega Super Speedway.

This past weekend at Chicagoland saw the most thrilling last-lap battle for a win of the season. And now we head back to Daytona, where the history of the July Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race is worthy of its own highlight reel (Saturday, July 7 at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Prior to arriving at Daytona International Speedway for Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race, driver Ryan Reed visited Crayola Experience in Orlando on Tuesday as part of media activities promoting the 100-lap, 250-mile race.

After a weekend off, the NASCAR Xfinity Series made a stop in the Windy City of Chicago for their fifteenth race of the season yesterday. This race also marked the beginning of the Summer stretch as it was the first of fifteen races in a row. Extremely high temperatures would play a major factor throughout the weekend for drivers and teams.

After finishing 10th at Chicagoland Speedway, Chase Elliott collected his 61st top-10 finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).
