NASCAR O'Reilly Series

NASCAR heads to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend with all three national series as the Playoffs continue. The Truck Series hits the track Friday for the JAG Metals 350 followed by the XFINITY Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 Saturday night. The Cup Series closes out the action Sunday at 2 p.m. on NBCSN with the AAA Texas 500.

Prior to Texas Motor Speedway's inaugural season in 1997, Richard Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the now defunct Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. RCR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series teams boast an average starting position of 19.2, an average finishing position of 17.4 and have completed 32,331 of the 33,349 contested laps (96.9 percent) with 140 laps led at the 1.5-mile Fort Worth-based race track.

Ryan Reed will make his eighth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.  In his seven previous starts at the 1.5-mile track, Reed has finished 20th or above and has five top-15 finishes.

"Heading back to Texas, I think we have a better idea of what to expect with the repave. In April, we had a really fast Allegiant Camaro early on, and with what was a one-groove racing surface at the time, we were able to use pit strategy to gain track position.

As the NASCAR calendar continues to reach its pinnacle with only a few playoff races to go in the season, NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Blake Koch visited West Palm Beach on Friday. Koch, who was born and raised in West Palm Beach, made his appearance in advance of Ford Championship Weekend, which will be held November 17-19 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Camry driver Christopher Bell captured his first-career NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) victory at Kansas Speedway in only his fifth-series start.

Recap: Ryan Blaney started third and finished third in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. Blaney showed speed in the Mustang all weekend and wasted no time working his way to the second position at the drop of the green flag. In the opening 45-lap stage, Blaney’s Ford built loose over the long green-flag run. The third-generation driver would remain in the runner-up position before the first caution flag of the race at lap 45, ending the first stage of the 200 lap event.

Austin Dillon Recovers from Challenges to Earn Sixth-Place Finish in Rheem Chevrolet "We started off really fast today in the Rheem Chevrolet. I found grip early, and we were posting the fastest lap times of the field. Once the track started to rubber up, the rest of the field moved up to my line and caught up. Then, we got behind there with a tire that corded. We fought back and finished sixth. The car handled really well, and it was a good recovery for our team. It makes me excited for Texas. ."

We got good stage points. Nothing we could do at the end of the race because we ran over something late in the race and crippled the right front. It’s just how it goes. There was a big cut in the tire and had to pit.”
