Camry driver Denny Hamlin was victorious in Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR XFINTIY Series (NXS) race at Michigan International Speedway. Hamlin held off second-place William Byron by 0.012 seconds, marking the closest XFINTIY Series finish at Michigan since NASCAR introduced electronic scoring in 1993.

Recap: Brad Keselowski led the most laps in Saturday’s Irish Hills 250 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) before settling for a fourth-place finish in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang at his home track. After starting the race in the second position, Keselowski had a dramatic opening lap as he and the No. 18 of Kyle Busch made contact going into the first corner.

Consistency All-Around Leads Paul Menard to Top-10 Finish at Michigan International Speedway "We had a really solid day all the way around in our No. 2 Richmond/Menards Chevrolet Camaro. I was able to race inside the top five for a majority of the race and really had some good speed on long runs and exiting the corner."

BROOKLYN, Mich. (June 17, 2017) – Denny Hamlin used a pass coming off of turn four on the last lap to win the Irish Hills 250. He beat rookie William Byron to the line by just 0.012 seconds. It was the closest NASCAR XFINITY Series finish ever at Michigan International Speedway.

BRAD KESELOWSKI, No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang (Finished 4th) “Good race. Denny was the class of the field there at the end. I just couldn’t get the back underneath the Discount Tire Ford. That was a bummer. The next to last restart, I thought that I had the 9 cleared but he just got a big pull. I don’t know if he got a push from behind and got up beside me and pulled a side-draft, and then Denny got behind. I would have been okay if it was just him, but the two of them together, I couldn’t defend it. It was good run all-and-all. A lot to be proud of.”

Crew chief Danny Gill, who has found success in all three of NASCAR’s top series, has made JCR his home for the rest of the 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.  He will lead the #51 RepairableVehicles.com crew for Saturday’s Menards 250 at Michiagn International Speedway.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the XFINITY Series will compete at Michigan International Speedway this weekend while the Camping World Truck Series travels to Gateway Motorsports Park.

Michigan International Speedway is one of the fastest tracks the NASCAR Xfinity Series visits. And Harrison Rhodes is ready. Rhodes will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Irish Hills 250 at MIS.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns this weekend to Michigan International Speedway, one of driver Ross Chastain’s best tracks.
