Recap: Joey Logano drove the No. 12 Snap-on Tools Ford Mustang from the pole to victory lane in Saturday afternoon’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International claiming the first NASCAR XFINITY Series win for Team Penske in 2016.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang, overcame a spin on Lap 29 to earn a fifth-place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Watkins Glen International on Saturday afternoon.

Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 6 Cheez-It Ford Mustang, was running inside the top 10 for much of the early portion of the event before a multi-car incident unfolded in front of him following a Lap 17 restart, leaving him nowhere to go.

Watkins Glen International has always set a full schedule of off-track activities during the annual NASCAR stop at the upstate NY venue including autograph sessions, driver appearances, opportunities to have coffee with track executives (president and vice president) and concerts every night of the race weekend.

Logano started on pole and dominated most of the day, leading 67 of 82 laps and cruised to victory after teammate Brad Keselowski had to pit late due to a broken track bar. It's Logano's 26th career XFINITY Series victory and his third straight overall victory at Watkins Glen after sweeping the XFINITY/Cup weekend last year.

Garrett Smithley’s first race day at Watkins Glen International was short. Smithley’s Chevrolet overheated only 13 laps into the race, and he was forced to the garage. He finished 39th.

Ryan Preece finished 27th in Saturday’s Zippo 200 Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen International after a suspension problem sent him to the garage 67 laps into the race’s 82.

Ross Chastain turned in his third top-15 run of the Xfinity Series season Saturday, finishing 14th in the Zippo 200 at the Watkins Glen International road course.
