Richard Childress Racing Names Additional Drivers for the No. 2 Chevrolet in the NASCAR XFINITY Series

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has announced the addition of four drivers to its 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series team roster to compete in races at Iowa Speedway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and Kentucky Speedway. The drivers will share seat time in the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro with crew chief Danny Stockman.

Dakoda Armstrong/JGL Racing Michigan Preview

Dakoda will be making his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Michigan International Speedway to go along with three prior starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and one in the ARCA Racing Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 16th at the Brooklyn, Michigan track which occurred in this event last season.

Ryan Reed has competed at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) twice in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. In 2014, Reed finished 11th after starting 24th. In this race last season, Reed finished 19th after starting in the same position.

Garrett Smithley Pocono Review

Garrett Smithley finished 27th in Saturday’s rain-shortened Pocono Green 250 XFINITY Series race at Pocono Raceway. The first XFINITY race in Pocono history was scheduled for 100 laps, but afternoon rain showers pelted the speedway and forced NASCAR to call the race after 53 laps. Smithley was caught a lap down by the rain.

Ryan Preece Pocono Review

The first Xfinity Series race in the history of Pocono Raceway was shorter than planned, but it was a good afternoon for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller driver Ryan Preece. Preece qualified 19th and finished 17th in the Pocono Green 250, which was scheduled for 100 laps but cut short to 53 because of persistent rain showers. Preece finished on the lead lap to score his fourth top-20 finish of the Xfinity season.
