Darlington Raceway and its award-winning throwback Bojangles’ Southern 500 event will once again return to Labor Day weekend in 2017.

Kansas Speedway’s 2017 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 will definitely take on increased importance as it becomes the cutoff race for the second round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Oct. 21 with drivers having one last chance to automatically qualify for the third round of the Chase with a win.

The following is a statement from Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage regarding Thursday's release of the 2017 national series schedules by NASCAR, which includes the move of the speedway's annual spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race from Saturday evening to a return to a Sunday afternoon event beginning next season. The 2017 spring race, formerly the Duck Commander 500 that will have a new entitlement sponsor next year, is slated to run Sunday, April 9, and will be broadcast on FOX.

Clint Bowyer will make a return to NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) competition with JR Motorsports (JRM), the team announced today. Bowyer, a veteran racer and 19-time NASCAR national series winner, will drive JRM’s No. 88 entry at Chicagoland Speedway (Sept. 17) with partnership from Morton Buildings.

In a new partnership, Roush Fenway Racing’s Bubba Wallace will carry the LoudMouthTM Exhaust colors on his No. 6 Ford Mustang for the first time this season on Saturday, May 14 in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Dover International Speedway, a track that Wallace considers among his favorites.

NASCAR today announced the 2017 schedules for its three national series, giving fans and stakeholders a significant head start in planning for next season’s thrilling slate.

Coming off one of the greatest finishes in Richmond International Raceway history, track officials are excited to announce NASCAR will return to the Action Track in 2017. Race fans will be able to experience the best of both worlds with day racing April 28 – 30 and night racing September 8 – 9.
