The NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series travel to Michigan International Speedway this weekend with only three races to go in the Cup Series regular season and six to go in the Xfinity Series.

The 27-year-old Nemechek from Mooresville, North Carolina, has recorded two victories in 10 starts on a part-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit ahead of his 11th and final of 2024 at the Irish Hills.

The reigning Xfinity Series champion from Ladera Ranch, California, posted a qualifying lap at 167.582 mph in 53.705 seconds, which was enough to best teammate Riley Herbst and secure his third Xfinity pole of the 2024 season.

This weekend the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway 2.5-mile oval as the the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series heads to the .686-mile asphalt oval at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP).

The reigning Xfinity Series champion from Ladera Ranch, California, led 25 of 90 laps and fended off both Allgaier and Byron during a four-lap dash to capture the first Xfinity checkered flag of the 2024 season for himself, Ford and Stewart-Haas Racing.

NASCAR heads to Pocono Raceway this week for a full schedule of racing. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series headlines Friday evening, followed by the Xfinity Series Saturday at 3 p.m. On Sunday afternoon the Cup Series takes center stage with The Great American Getaway 400 Presented by VisitPA.com.

Half of Stewart-Haas Racing's 2024 drivers across the Xfinity and Cup Series divisions have secured rides for the 2025 season amid a summer stretch of uncertainties with the organization set to close following at this season's conclusion.
