Off Week For NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Before It Travels To Sonoma - The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads into its second off weekend of the season before traveling to Northern California for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, June 28th (3 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1).

MICHIGAN MOISTURE: Camry drivers Matt Kenseth (fourth) and Clint Bowyer (10th) earned top-10 finishes for Toyota in Sunday’s rain-shortened NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Michigan International Speedway. The event was delayed by rain a total of four times with the final red flag on lap 138 (of the scheduled 200 circuits). Camry driver Carl Edwards led the field three times for a total of 41 laps, while Kenseth led three circuits at the two-mile oval.

In his first NASCAR XFINITY Series race back from a broken right leg and left foot, Kyle Busch proved conclusively that he hasn’t lost a step. Taking advantage of contact between the Chevrolet of Kevin Harvick and the Ford of polesitter Joey Logano—as those two drivers were battling for the lead—Busch passed Chase Elliott for the lead on lap 122 of 125 and held on to win Saturday’s Great Clips 250 at Michigan International Speedway.

In a race that saw action all over the track on Saturday, perhaps the most impressive pass came with four laps remaining in the Great Clips 250 Benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Rally’s and Checkers restaurants will be riding with talented rookie driver Ross Chastain as he competes in Saturday’s Great Clips 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

KYLE’S COMEBACK CONTINUES: Camry driver Kyle Busch returns to the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) this weekend at the two-mile Michigan International Speedway (MIS). Busch, who was injured in the season-opening NXS race at Daytona International Speedway, made his return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) four weeks ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In seven career NXS starts at MIS, the 30-year old racer has claimed one victory (2004) and six top-five results. Busch’s schedule for additional NXS races is yet to be determined.

Richard Childress Racing at Michigan International Speedway ... In 147 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Michigan International Speedway, RCR teams have earned three wins, two with Dale Earnhardt (1987, 1990) and the most recent with Kevin Harvick (August 2010).

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 car, has received a penalty for his actions during the May 31 race (Sections 12.1, 12.8 b and 10.4.2.1 in the 2015 NASCAR rule book). After the No. 6 car was involved in an on-track incident, the driver walked across the racing surface before he was attended to by the track safety crew. Bayne has been fined $20,000 and placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31.

POCONO SUITS HAMLIN: Only one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver has been more successful at Pocono Raceway than Camry driver Denny Hamlin, and Jeff Gordon has been racing at the 2.5-mile triangular track twice as long. Hamlin has four Pocono winner’s trophies – including two in a Camry (August 2009 and June 2010) and two from the first year he visited the Pennsylvania race track in 2006.
