In a statement released yesterday, February 20th, 2013, Charlotte Motor Speedway announced that it has made the move to a smoke-free facility, or at least in the grandstands and most public areas. Along with CMS, zMax Dragway and the Dirt Track at Charlotte are also going to be smoke-free.

Since Kyle Busch Motorsports debuted on track in 2010, KBM has been winning races. However, they have yet to go after a driver championship. That will all change in 2013 as Kyle Busch has hired three young stars to bring home the trophy for KBM.

As teams make final preparations to start the 2013 race season, NASCAR announced today the lineup of 2013 Contingency Program sponsors for all three national series.

Dating back to 1976, Richard Childress Racing has won 10 poles and collected five victories at the most-storied race track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series circuit. RCR owns two Daytona 500 wins (Dale Earnhardt - 1998, Kevin Harvick - 2007), three Coke Zero 400 trophies (Earnhardt - 1990, 1993 and Harvick - 2010) and 14 qualifying races, including 10-consecutive victories with Earnhardt (1990 - 1999) and Jeff Burton's most recent win in 2011.

Reed Sorenson began his NASCAR career with Ganassi Racing in the No. 41 Dodge in 2005. He was immediately a force to be reckoned with, scoring his first victory at Nashville Speedway from the pole and crossing the finish line 14 seconds over the competition. He went to victory lane once again at Gateway and lead the standings by 51 points and finished the season fourth overall.

Blake Koch, Nationwide driver for SR² Motorsports, has all the faith in the world as he returns to his team and heads into the season opener at Daytona. “I’m really excited to be teaming with SR² Motorsports for the 2013 season,” Koch said. “Our team chemistry is solid.”
