Camry driver Joey Logano drove his No. 18 Dollar General Toyota Camry to victory lane in Friday night's NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Logano led the field three times for 81 laps (of 250).

Joey Logano qualified his No. 18 Dollar General Toyota second for Friday night’s Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. A late-afternoon thunder storm canceled NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying and delayed the start of the Nationwide Series event, leaving drivers and crew chiefs wondering what the “green” track would be like.

Race Summary: Michael Annett started the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway from the 18th position and quickly gained two spots in just the first two laps of the race to be scored in 16th coming to the stripe. Running on a green race track due to all the rubber being washed off in an earlier rain storm, Annett was able to avoid three early cautions that fell within the first 34 laps of the 250-lap race.

Joey Logano won the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway after a one hour delay due to rain. Logano led three times for 81 laps and captured first career Bristol win. This is Logano's sixth NNS win of 2012 and the 15th NNS victory of his career.

Not long after the checkered flag flew in the Food City 250 at Bristol, with Joey Logano in Victory Lane, the mood turned less celebratory. Shortly after eleven o'clock Eastern Time NASCAR confirmed reports that a Food City corporate helicopter had gone down in Washington County, Virginia.

We decided to stay out at the competition caution, which worked out for us. We were able to lead some laps and see what our car was doing in the lead."

The Detroit Genuine Parts crew worked on it throughout the race, but we just didn’t get a handle on it. We gave it our best though and managed to bring home a top-10 finish."

Today, Friday August 24th 2012, the #44 BanditChippers.com Toyota takes back to the Bristol Motor Speedway with Mike Bliss behind the wheel for some short track racing under the lights. The Black & Yellow Chipper paint scheme adorned the #44 at Bristol earlier this year, where Mike finished 15th. Bliss had 14th and 13th place finishes on the back to back NNS road races and currently sits firmly in 8th position in the NNS standings.
