Richard Childress Racing teammates finished first (Ty Dillon), seventh (Joey Coulter) and 28th (Tim George Jr.). Dillon remains third in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings, nine points behind the leader, and Coulter ranks sixth in the standings. The No. 3 Chevrolet team is third in the Camping World Truck Series owner championship point standings, the No. 22 team fifth in the standings and the No. 2 team 10th.

In an 11th hour marketing partnership agreement, Atlanta, Georgia-based Kill Cliff will adorn the role as the primary marketing partner for Denver, North Carolina native Matt Carter in Saturday night’s NRA American Warrior 300 at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway.

To help SUBWAY® celebrate its 47th birthday, Carl Edwards will run a special SUBWAY® SUBprize Party paint scheme this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The last time Edwards had SUBWAY® as a primary sponsor he ended up in victory lane in the Nationwide Series at Watkins Glen earlier this month.

Things have been quiet around these parts lately. Some by choice, a little by outside factors which took away time normally devoted to breaking down the latest NASCAR news. But, I haven’t been completely cut off from the racing world. The races were watched, dissected and discussed. And it was during that quiet time, removed from the journalism side, that viewing racing from a different perspective brought forth many thoughts.

In my next interview, I had the honor of speaking with Brian Keselowski. Brian is the older brother of fellow NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski. He is a past winner in the ARCA Racing Series and is a competitor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driving the no. 92 Chevrolet Impala for K-Automotive Motorsports. Here is my interview with Brian.

Call it whatever you want but the Bristol Motor Speedway has a new surface with different racing we’ve never seen before at Bristol. Some people are referring to the new surface as a return to the “old Bristol” which featured one lane racing on the bottom and beating and banging.

The #50 Chevrolet is sporting a familiar look with Liberty Tire Recycling on the hood but with veteran driver David Starr for this weekend’s events at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This will be the second start for Starr in the #50 for MAKE Motorsports as he piloted the car at Bristol until engine issues ended the race early for the #50 Chevrolet.

MacDonald Motorsports is proud to announce that Random Acts will be featured on the No. 81 of Jason Bowles this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Random Acts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time. Bowles and the team are excited to represent such a great organization on the No. 81 for the NRA American Warrior 300 this Saturday night.

DODGE QUOTES: “I like Atlanta and that there are a lot of different opportunities for places that you can run at. When you catch somebody you can run where they’re not. It’s going to be the first racetrack that we’ve been on in a while that you can start moving your line around and try to figure out different ways to get around people. The more rubber you put down, you get that porousness of the track filled in a little bit."

Richmond International Raceway is offering race fans a unique opportunity on Thursday, September 6. All NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers eligible to race their way into or capture a Wild Card spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, but have not already secured a position prior to the Federated Auto Parts 400, will participate in a free fan question and answer session.
