As part of the initiative to improve the already great fan experience, Iowa Speedway is moving this year’s concert acts to the pre-race festivities – allowing more fans an opportunity to attend. Also new for this year: local bands from around the central Iowa region will be performing on the opening night of each event weekend on the Grinnell Mutual Concert Stage.

Danica Patrick announced that she would be running in this year’s prelude to the dream. A lot of people were concerned about her running it, however her Sprint Cup Series car owner Tony Stewart says he’s excited about it.

Mike Wallace and the unsponsored No. 01 JD Motorsports Chevrolet team are heading West to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Cali. in search of the best in their NASCAR Nationwide Series race this weekend.

Kenny Wallace will pilot RAB Racing Chassis No. 42 in Saturday's Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway. This chassis last saw action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two weeks ago, when Wallace piloted this Toyota Camry to an 11th-place finish.

In his 226th career NASCAR Nationwide Series start, Kyle Busch brought his newly formed No. 54 team to the high-banked oval of Tennessee, where he has enjoyed so much success. Bristol Motor Speedway proved to be difficult however, for the young team who fought adversity through the race Saturday.
