Bass Pro Shops will continue its partnership with Richard Childress Racing in 2012, serving as a primary sponsor of both Austin Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Ty Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Penske Racing announced today that Jeremy Bullins has been named crew chief of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Turner Motorsports announced today that BRANDT is returning to the multi-car team as primary sponsor of the No. 31 Chevrolet driven by championship contender Justin Allgaier. Allgaier finished the 2011 season third in the overall NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) championship point standings

The season started with a photo finish between Clint Bowyer and Tony Stewart with the margin of victory being 0.007 seconds. But Stewart says he knew that he had won before NASCAR relayed the official timing.
