The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for the second race in the Playoffs Round of 12. Hendrick Motorsports driver, William Byron, secured his spot in the next round with a win at Texas Motor Speedway last Sunday and can breathe easy as NASCAR heads to the unpredictable 2.66-mile track.

Hendrick Motorsports will cap off the 2023 season by adding Said and Caruth to its driver lineup of the No. 17 entry for two of the remaining five Xfinity scheduled events.

The 26-year-old Nemechek from Mooresville, North Carolina, led 38 of 200 laps and benefitted from a late skirmish involving Allgaier and Kligerman to snatch the lead with six laps remaining and secure his spot for the Playoff's Round of 8 by winning at the Lone Star state.

Heading to Texas, the Cup Series Playoff action will continue with the first race in the Round of 12 as William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Chris Buescher, Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Ross Chastain, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace continue their quest for the coveted 2023 Cup Series championship.

The 37-year-old Allgaier from Riverton, Illinois, led a race-high 110 of 300 laps and executed during a 44-lap dash to the finish on fresh tires to fend off Daniel Hemric, win at Thunder Valley and become the first Xfinity competitor to transfer to the Playoff's Round of 8.

The 15-time Most Popular Driver and two-time Xfinity Series champion from Kannapolis, North Carolina, made his first of two Xfinity scheduled starts at Thunder Valley, where he battled upfront before late ignition issues concluded his night in 30th place and on pit road.

The 26-year-old Jones from Atlanta, Georgia, is confirmed to campaign for a second full-time stint with JR Motorsports for the 2024 Xfinity Series season.

For the first time since 2020, Bristol Motor Speedway will host two NASCAR weekend events on its concrete-racing surface and eliminate the Bristol Dirt event, beginning in 2024.

This weekend NASCAR heads to Bristol Motor Speedway as the 2023 Playoffs continue with the final race in the Cup Series Round of 16.

The 26-year-old Nemechek led a race-high 154 of 200 laps and capped off the regular-season stretch with his sixth Xfinity victory of the 2023 season in dominant fashion.
