Funny Car points leader Austin Prock won for the fifth straight time in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge on Saturday at Sonoma Raceway, defeating Blake Alexander in the final of the bonus race at this weekend’s 36th annual Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
As cool, ideal racing conditions set upon Sonoma Raceway Friday night, Doug Kalitta, posted a track record 3.649 elapsed time to capture the No. 1 qualifying spot for Sunday’s eliminations.
The victory marked Brad Majman’s first-career Ligier JS F4 Series win. Previously, his best JS F4 result had been second, scored in Round 4 at Road America earlier this season.
Patrick Woods-Toth secured the pole for Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on Saturday morning.
